electronic worksheet

well, usually i blog for something else but this time it is for class. something new :)

my activity is on Adjective. students are required to drag

the adjectives to suit nouns provided. they can put as many adjectives as they want (the maximum is 3) to create their own description of the nouns. the pictures are to help them with their imagination. :)

how i wish we learnt all these skills before we went to suffer ourselves during the practicum. i mean to construct exercises. however, i don't think this cut and paste activity can be done in ussual classroom as not all classes in schools are occupied with computer for each student. thus, we want it or not, the conventional way (writing) is the option. however, of course once in a while we can take the students to the computer lab for this fun activity.

In-Class Task 1

assalamualaikum w.b.t.

my name is Wan Suhailaliza binti Wan Mohd Hussin (2005 478 479). you can call me Elly as everybody calls me by that name. i am so sorry that i was absent for your very first class last two weeks. but i manage to get the information regarding this assigment form my classmates. and i hope this is not too late to submit it.

i am getting excited reading my friends' new blogs in your link. thus, here's mine to answer the questions.

1. what computer software you know how to utilize?

basically i know :

Microsoft Office.
Microsoft Excell - i'd say i am vey amateur in it. but i know how and what it can do.
Microsoft Power Point - i'd say with the details since i am the kind who tends to do trial and error.
Adobe Photoshop - i use it from time to time. and yes, by trial and error.
Photoscape - i'd say i knwo how to use it
Windows Movie Maker - i know how to use it well. and i've made my own video clips using it. :)
Publisher and front page - very little.

...and all the basic softwares we have in a regular computer. and i also know a bit on the HTML. just a little.

2. what computer hardware skills and knowledge that you have?

for this one, i have to give it to the pro. i am not very familiar with the hardware. however, i know the antiviruses, i am able to install and uninstall things, i know about the memory of a computer, all the GB and MB. but i'd say just on the surface. :)

3. What computer / Internet activities do you have and/or oftenly engaged in? e.g download songs, upload videos.

i have my own blog called B.A.S.T.R.I.N.G.U.E. i dowload movies, songs, videos mostly using Ares software. i am not very good at using the limewire or bitcommet or torrent. i've tried and i am not good at it. Ares is my prior source for dowloading. and also youtube. i used to build a website during my computer course that i took after my SPM and i think i really need a detail refreshments if i wish to do it again. other than that, i know online shoping and tried once. i browse all the online newspaper that we have. i am a friend of Yahoo messenger and MSN during school break. overall, i'd say i am familiar with the Internet. can i call myself an IT savvy? (naahh...not there yet)

i hope, from this class, i will be able to use the technology for other than just entertainment purpose. i am sure there are still loads and gazzilions of things to discover when it comes to CALL. :)
